finish is a Brooklyn based design-build studio. Its principal, Phoebe Tremalio-Slater, grew up in a family of artists, graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in landscape architecture, before founding her own business in 2003. finish incorporates design and construction for renovation and new building for residential and commercial sites.
Site and studio are both places for exploration, each a lab for creative consideration of space and materials. As finish generates and executes design concepts, space, light, color and the nature of the raw materials form a dynamic relationship. The continual interaction of information and ideas provides the transformational element that keeps finish growing within the community of designers and craftspeople. |
